IREDELL COUNTY, NC — Deputies charge a registered sex offender for using social media under an alias account.
Alexander County deputies alerted the Iredell County Special Victims Unit to a possible sex offender violation by Dustin McDaniels on March 27th after they responded to a domestic call involving McDaniels.
Deputies say they learned that McDaniels, a registered sex offender, was operating a Facebook account under the alias, “Rusty Lamb.”
McDaniels was arrested on March 31st and charged with Sex Offender on Social Media. He is currently on probation, according to a release, for prior convictions of Misdemeanor Larceny and Sexual Battery.
