Waiting Child : Jacob
In today’s waiting child story, we hang out at a fire station where the firemen take the time to teach and show our kids around. It’s here where a kid can be a kid, learn and have fun.
Jacob is in the 8th grade and there’s really only one thing Jacob wants to do as he responds, “Drive the fire truck.”
Jacob is a very smart kid, he’s inquisitive, likes to learn and ask questions. He enjoys reading his favorite books, “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” and “iFunny”.
When it comes to school, he likes what every kid likes, “I like lunch and ELA, science is pretty good I don’t like math but my teacher is good.”
Jacob also likes skateboarding with his friends, playing video games and sleeping, “As long as I’m not up at 5am every morning I’m fine.”
At the age of 14, Jacob is in need of a family. He said he’s tired of moving constantly and would really love a father who can teach him how to work on cars, “So I can have somebody to stay with forever.”
Consider adoption, you have the choice to change Jacob’s life forever.
If you think Jacob would be a good fit for your family contact the North Carolina Children’s Home Society.
