DA Dismisses Murder Charge For Mother In Death Of Her Infant Son

UPDATE: The District Attorney’s Office says the murder charge against Chaz Bush has been dropped.

The announcement comes after officials released the autopsy results from her 3-month-old son, Majestic Bush. The results showed that the infant had several head injuries and was malnourished, but a cause of death could not be determined.

Bush does remain in jail however, on Felony Child Abuse charges.

CHARLOTTE, NC — Police say they have now charged a mother with the death of her infant son due to neglect.

According to officials, 30-year-old Chaz Bush has been charged with Murder and felony Child Neglect Resulting in Serious Injury after her 3-month-old son Majestic Bush was found unresponsive around 1:36pm Tuesday. The baby was pronounced dead on the scene.

Investigators say the death was the result of neglect.

Bush turned herself into detectives Thursday and was charged after a being interviewed by police.
