CHARLOTTE, NC — Police arrested 21-year-old Robert Chisolm and a 15-year-old juvenile girl after a police chase involving a stolen vehicle Tuesday afternoon.
Just after 11:30pm Sunday, while the victim was delivering pizzas, police say two black male suspects robbed a Domino’s Pizza deliveryman on Sharon Oaks Lane and took off in his car. The suspects hit another parked car while taking off in what was described by the victim as a 2013 silver Toyota Prius with NC plates.
Around 2:15pm Tuesday, officers located the stolen vehicle and a vehicle chase ensued after police tried to stop them. According to reports, stop sticks were deployed on Wilkinson Boulevard but the suspects continued on a flat tire into Gaston County. Police say a BB gun was also recovered during the chase after it was thrown from the car.
Belmont Police and a Helicopter unit eventually helped officers arrest Chisolm and the girl. She was charged with Resisting an Officer.
Chisolm was charged with Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle, Possession of Stolen Goods, Felony Flee to Allude, No Operators License, Aggressive Driving, Driving on the Sidewalk, and Speeding in a School Zone.
Police say Chisolm has not been charged in the Sharon Oaks armed robbery, but the investigation is ongoing.
