CHARLOTTE, N.C. — CMPD has confiscated two BB guns taken to school by South Charlotte Middle School students on Wednesday.
According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, a bus driver was informed of a student in possession of a BB gun on the bus, Wednesday afternoon.
CMPD and CMS administration also became aware of pictures of the guns on social media. Β CMS says three students were involved and that two students borrowed the guns from another student before school on Wednesday and returned the guns on the bus Wednesday afternoon.
CMS says the guns were not loaded and no one was hurt as a result of the incident.
CMPD went to the student’s homes Wednesday night and the students and their parents met with South Charlotte Middle School administrators Thursday morning.
Discipline for the students has not been disclosed. Β More information will be provided as it is released.
