CHARLOTTE, N.C. (News Release) – Shelter Pet Enrichment Fund (SPEF) received $31,589.69 from Subaru for participating in the Share the Love Campaign. Beginning November 17, 2016 to January 3, 2017, customers who purchased or leased a new Subaru vehicle could select from a list of charities to receive a donation of $250 from Subaru of America, Inc.
This year, Subaru of America, Inc. will donate nearly $23.4 million to participating national and local charities, reaching an nine-year total of nearly $94 million in donations through the Subaru Share the Love Event.
Subaru of America, Inc. selected the four national charities: ASPCA®, Make-A-Wish®, Meals On Wheels America® and National Park Foundation. Subaru retailers could also elect to add a local charity and Subaru South Blvd selected The Shelter Pet Enrichment Fund as its “hometown charity.”
Subaru South Boulevard has been a long standing community partner with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Animal Care & Control Division (ACC), working together on many projects over the years that promote animal adoptions, microchipping and more. Subaru continues this support by teaming up with Shelter Pet Enrichment Fund to support ACC shelter programs.
