SWAT Arrests Gang Member After Executing Search Warrant At Burke County Home
BURKE COUNTY, N.C. — Investigators say the Burke County SWAT team arrested a gang member after executing a search warrant at a home.
The home was located on Mount Home Church Road. Investigators say they developed probable cause for the search after receiving information that David Pearson, a convicted felon and validated gang member, had firearms and illegal controlled substances at the residence.
During a search of the house on April 20th, investigators say they found a 9mm Ruger and a 9mm Smith and Wesson. Pearson and Michael Wright were both charged with possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.
Deputies say they have responded to over 10 calls at the home since February 2017.
On April 19th, deputies responded to the house for a disturbance call with shots fired. Brandy Carter and Michael Denton Jr. were arrested. Carter has been charged with failure to comply and Denton has been charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance.
