CONCORD, N.C. — On April 27th, Cabarrus Meals on Wheels received $19, 730 from Subaru Concord for participating in the Share the Love Campaign.
From November 17, 2016 to January 3rd, 2017, customers who purchased or leased a new Subaru vehicle were able to select from a list of charities to receive a donation of $250 from Subaru of America, Inc.
This year, Subaru of America, Inc. donated nearly $23.4 million to participating national and local charities, reaching a nine-year total of nearly $94 million in donation through the Share the Love Event.
Subaru selected four national charities: ASPCA, Make-A-Wish, Meals On Wheels America, and the National Park Foundation. Retailers could also elect to add a local charity, allowing Subaru Concord to select Cabarrus Meals on Wheels as its “hometown charity” for the third consecutive year.
Subaru Concord has had a long standing community partnership with Cabarrus Meals on Wheels, working together on multiple projects over the last six years, including delivering meals one or two times per month and holding non-perishable food drives.
