CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD is investigating after a 1-year-old was found behind an east Charlotte home submerged in a stream.
The toddler was found in the stream around 5:15pm on Terrybrook Lane. According to officials, first responders performed CPR on the child until he could be rushed to CMC for treatment. The child was pronounced dead a short time later.
Officials say the child was out with other children at the home and wondered off. CMPD is still investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
