Driver Whose Car Plunged Into University City Pond Overnight Still Missing

CHARLOTTE, NC — The man who drove his car into a pond in University City overnight is still missing.

Police say the man ran off after the incident, which happened around midnight off of JM Keynes Drive behind the University Hilton.

Charlotte Fire and Police worked all morning to pull the car out of the water. WCCB is working to learn more about what led up to the crash.
