3 Juveniles Charged In Series Of Home Break-Ins

CHARLOTTE, NC — Police have arrested and charged three male juveniles in connection to a series of breaking and entering cases in east Charlotte.

The break-ins took place between April 26 and May 11, according to reports, in five different east Charlotte neighborhoods. The break-ins occurred as follows:

  • April 26, 2017, around 4:27pm, on Blythwood Lane
  • May 2, 2017, around 5:54pm, on Rosemede Drive
  • May 4, 2017, around 3:27pm, on Falconwood Court
  • May 4, 2017, around 6:51pm, on Bellflower Lane
  • May 9, 2017, around 2:11pm, on Bellflower Lane
  • May 11, 2017, around 6:49pm, on Pirates Cove Court

CMPD says residents identified three male juveniles living in the neighborhood while an officer was canvassing the break-in areas early Friday morning. Detectives met with the suspects and their parents, officials say, and made their arrests.

Officials say the suspects also showed detectives where they had hidden stolen property in some nearby woods.

All three juveniles have been charged with six counts each of Residential Breaking and Entering, Larceny after Breaking and Entering, and Conspiracy. The juveniles have since been released to their parents, and the stolen property has been returned to the owners.
