UPDATE: Police have charged Keith Fitzroy Rivera, 25, with one count of Felony Hit and Run Personal Injury and two counts of Misdemeanor Hit and Run Property Damage for the accident that injured a one-year-old Friday night in north Charlotte.
The CMPD says Rivera fled on foot after striking the child with the vehicle.
There are no updates on the condition of the child at this time.
CHARLOTTE, NC — Police are looking for a hit-and-run suspect after a child was hit in north Charlotte.
The incident happened around 8:30pm when officials say the driver turned onto Augusta Street from Catherine Simmons Avenue and jumped a curb. CMPD says the suspect then hit a 1-year-old boy that was outside of a home and took off.
Medic says the boy has been taken to CMC with non-life threatening injuries.
