Charges Dropped Against Accused ‘Peeping Tom’ In Rock Hill

UPDATE:  The Solicitor’s Office has dropped charges against a Rock Hill man accused of peeping on women at a neighborhood pool.

Sean Kilkenny is no longer being charged with voyeurism after police say he took cell phone pictures of women in bathing suits and used a GoPro camera to film them underwater.  WCCB is still working on the story.  Check back for updates.

ROCK HILL, SC- Authorities say a man was arrested after reportedly taking pictures of various women in their bathing suits at Lexington Commons Pool in Rock Hill Friday.

Upon arrival, the witness, an off-duty officer, informed the responding officer that he observed the male suspect taking pictures of females in their bathing with his cell phone.

The male suspect is also accused of using a GoPro video camera to capture pictures of the women under water.

The responding officer confronted the suspect, identified as Sean Patrick Kilkenny, 47, who explained that he was taking pictures of scenery around the pool.

Kilkenny then consented to having the officer examine the photos on his phone and GoPro that showed various pictures of women who were in the pool, wearing a bikini bathing suit and other photos zoomed in on women’s breasts, according to a police report.

After observing the evidence, Sean Kilkenny was arrested and charged with peeping tom/eavesdropping.
