Suspect Wanted For Sexually Assaulting Minor, Parents Charged With Child Neglect

FORT MILL, SC — Police have arrested two suspects charged with child neglect, and are looking for a third person charged with sexually assaulting a minor.

Jonathan Wright, 27, and Yolanda Richardson, 28, were arrested Friday and charged with three counts each of Unlawful Neglect of a Child.

According to reports, two charges stem from several incidents involving the alleged abuse of a 7-year-old girl and a 6-year-old girl between October 2016 and May 2017. A third charge, police say, comes from allegations that the pair were aware of a sexual assault incident involving a minor and did not report it.

Police say the sexual assault was committed by Joshua Richardson, 25, a family member living at the home.

Joshua Richardson is wanted on a charge of 1st Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor.

Officials say the children were removed from the home and placed into emergency protective custody with DSS.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Fort Mill Police at 803-547-2022.
