Millennial City Council Candidates Participate In Public Forum At Heist Brewery

CHARLOTTE, NC — More than 100 people packed Heist Brewery in NoDa Wednesday night as nearly a dozen Millennials running for City Council participated in a special forum.

WCCB’s Courtney Francisco helped moderate the event, which was put on by Black Elevation. Some residents said they were glad to see Millennials stepping up and being active in the community.

The candidates spoke on several topics throughout the event, but one of the hottest was community policing and CMPD’s relationship with the city’s youth.
