State House Approves Bill Allowing Concealed Carry Without Permit

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The North Carolina House of Representatives approved House Bill 746 which allows gun owners to carry concealed weapons without a permit.

The vote passed 64-51 and now heads to the Senate. Β If passed by the Senate, the bill will then have to be signed off by Governor Cooper.

The bill would also make it possible for 18-year-olds to buy pistols in North Carolina. Β The legal age to purchase a gun, right now, in North Carolina is 21-years-old.
