Habitat For Humanity, Wells Fargo Team To Assist Veterans

YORK COUNTY, S.C. — Β Habitat for Humanity of York County and Wells Fargo teamed up to help three local veteran families with home repairs as part of nationwide initiative to assist 100 veteran families.

Over 30 Wells Fargo associates assisted with home repairs, painted, and landscaped for the three York county families on Tuesday.

”Veterans have made extraordinary sacrifices for our country, and by teaming up with Habitat for Humanity we will work side-by-side with veterans to make important improvements to their homes that may otherwise be unattainable,” said Martin Sundquist, executive director of the Wells Fargo Housing Foundation.

Wells Fargo has volunteered over 315,000 hours to construct and improve more than 2,100 Habitat homes and counting with low-income homeowners, seniors and veterans since 2010.

Tim Veeck, Habitat for Humanity Executive Director, said, β€œHabitat builds strength, stability, self-reliance and shelter with families and during 2017, volunteers will help build 3 homes and complete 40 home repair projects similar to those that were completed by Wells Fargo associates today.”
