President Trump Speaks After Shooting Of Congressman, Two Capitol Police Officers
President Donald Trump made a statement from the White House following the shooting ofΒ House Majority Whip Steve Scalise and two Capitol Police Officers at a baseball field in Virginia.
The suspect, 66-year-old James T. Hodgkinson, of Illinois, has died. Β Scalise was shot in the hip and had to undergo surgery. Β However, he is expected to recover from his injuries. Β There have not been any updates on the conditions of the two officers injured in the shooting.
