SCOTUS Rules Against NC Law Prohibiting Social Media Use By Convicted Sex Offenders
CHARLOTTE, NC — The U.S. Supreme Court unanimously ruled against a North Carolina law Monday that made it illegal for convicted sex offenders to use social media.
The Justices argued that the language of the law was too broad and could inhibit first amendment rights.
The EDGE panel is weighing in and asking whether using the internet is a constitutional right.
