Cabarrus County Deputies Investigating After Dead Goat Found On Roadside

CABARRUS COUNTY, NC — Officials are investigating after another disturbing discovery on the side of a local road.

Deputies want to charge whoever dumped a dead goat on the side of Sisk Carter Road Sunday. Officials say the animal’s front and back legs were tied up.

Melanie Thrift says she found the animal Sunday across the street from where she found a dead horse and dog back in April.

Cabarrus County Animal Control is examining the goat’s remains. The sheriff’s office plans to charge whoever is responsible with cruelty to animals and littering.
