NAACP Holds Charlotte Mayoral Candidate Forum
CHARLOTTE, NC — The NAACP hosted a candidate forum Tuesday night at Trinity Episcopal School in Uptown.
Mayoral candidates answered a variety of questions during the event. Several candidates, including Mayor Jennifer Roberts and Mayor Pro Tem Vi Lyles gave their thoughts on the city’s growing homicide numbers. Though Democrat Joel Ford did not participate in tonight’s forum, he does have his crime plan outlined on his website.
Republican Kenny Smith was invited, but did not participate.
