Three People Arrested For Monday’s Chesterfield County Homicide

UPDATE: Three people have been arrested in connection with the murder of Farris “Mickey” Short.

James David Busby, 33, and Kenneth Edward Parker, 36, have been charged with Murder, Armed Robbery, and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime.

Patricia Nicole Deese, 28, has been charged with Accessory Before and After the Fact of a Murder.

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, SC — Deputies still have not made any arrests in the county’s sixth homicide of 2017.

Investigators are looking for anyone who saw or spoke to the victim, Farris Short, Sunday night. Deputies found Short’s body in a Soybean Field next to a pickup truck around 7am Monday.

Someone passing by saw the abandoned truck on Hurst Cemetery Lane near Wamble Hill Road and reported it.
