Five People Arrested on Meth Charges

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit charged five people with additional drug offenses following the completion of several open investigations Friday.

The investigations are a continuation into meth sales in western and southern Lincoln County.

All five subjects charged have been previously arrested in the past six months for unrelated drug offenses. According to detectives four of the individuals are accused of being involved with either selling, delivering, possessing, or conspiring to sell and deliver methamphetamine.

Joshua Thomas Carpenter, 27, was charged with one felony count each of sell and deliver a schedule II controlled substance, possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule II controlled substance, maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances, and conspire to sell and deliver schedule II controlled substance.

Joshua Thomas Carpenter, 46, was charged with one felony count each of conspire to sell and deliver schedule II controlled substance and maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances.

Megan Elizabeth Campos, 36, was charged with one felony count of conspire to sell and deliver a schedule II controlled substance.

Jonita Travis Cornwell, 37, was charged with one felony count of possession of methamphetamine and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Rusty Dewayne Johnson, 28, is charged with one felony count of possession of a controlled substance in a prison/jail facility and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
