Burke County Deputies Make Five Arrests While Looking For Wanted Suspect
CONNELLY SPRINGS, NC — A search for a woman wanted on felony probation violation charges leads to five arrests.
Officials say 29-year-old Britton Metcalf, of Morganton, was wanted after failing to appear in Superior Court for a felony probation violation last Friday. Metcalf had pleaded guilty to felony possession of methamphetamine back in February and was given a six to 17 month suspended sentence with 30 months supervised probation. Since then, officials say she has had four violations including two due to drug use and two absconding.
On Monday, deputies went to a home on Cobb’s Place after receiving a tip on Metcalf’s location. Officials say nine people were inside the home when they arrived. Metcalf and four other suspects were arrested.
- Metcalf is charged with two counts Felony Probation Violation.
- Joshua Barnes, 30, of Connelly Springs, is charged with Resisting a Public Officer and Child Support.
- Jessica Bollinger, 28, of Connelly Springs, is charged with Felony Probation Violation and Assault on a Government Official.
- Thomas Bollinger, Jr., 26, of Connelly Springs, is charged with Resisting a Public Officer.
- Edlyn Johnson, Jr., 38, of Granite Falls, is charged with Assault on a Female and Injury to Real Property.
