CHARLOTTE, NC – Twenty-two bridges in the I-277 corridor between Tenth Street and I-77 at the John Belk Freeway in Charlotte are about to see some improvements as part of a $16.3 million contract awarded to American Contracting and Services, Inc. of Jeffersonville, Indiana by the N.C. Department of Transportation.
Work to be performed on each bridge will vary, including repairs to the existing structure, painting bridge beams, and putting down new epoxy overlay or latex modified concrete on bridge decks to create a better deck surface.
Work can start as early as July 31, and the project is scheduled to be completed by July 2019.
