Police Investigating After Car Crashes into Fire Station

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are trying to find out how teens crashed into the Cooks Community Volunteer fire house Wednesday night.

CMPD says there is about $100,000 worth of damage to the station.

Two of the five people in the car were hurt; however, the two firefighters sleeping inside of the fire station were okay.

Officers claim the driver told them he pulled off to the right side of the road to let another car pass and simply over-corrected, running off the road and into the station.

Police are currently investigating the claims and the accident itself.
