CMPD Promotes New Assistant Chiefs

CHARLOTTE, NC — CMPD Chief Kerr Putney is getting some big help from two newly promoted assistant chiefs.

The department held a ceremony Friday morning to promote Deputy Chiefs Vicki Foster and Doug Gallant. The recently created position serves directly below Chief Putney.

CMPD says they will run the department on a day-to-day basis and let Chief Putney focus on larger issues.
