STATESVILLE, NC — Police are now looking for a suspect in a homicide investigation after a 19-year-old shooting victim died at the hospital Monday evening.
The shooting happened around 5:30pm on Winona Street. According to police, witnesses say a black SUV was seen leaving the area after the shooting.
Officials say the victim, Shaun Holmes, was taken to Iredell Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead just before 7pm.
