CHARLOTTE, NC — Three suspects are in custody after being found in a stolen vehicle Monday in northwest Charlotte.
Police say the suspects were in a vehicle which was reported stolen last Thursday night. According to reports, the car’s owner was playing ball on Bilmark Avenue when a several people stole his belongings. The suspects then used the victim’s keys to steal his Honda Accord.
The vehicle was spotted just after 4pm Monday on the Plaza at Matheson. Police later found the vehicle parked on Cemetery Street at Campus Street with three suspects inside.
Two suspects were immediately detained, but one took off on foot. K-9 and helicopter units searched the area, and eventually took the suspect into custody.
Their names and charges have not been released.
