Teen Faces More Than 50 Charges Of Breaking Into Vehicles

IREDELL COUNTY, NC — A 17-year-old has been charged with 56 counts of Breaking and Entering to a Motor Vehicle, plus more than 20 additional charges.

Kenneth Gregory, of Charlotte, was arrested in relation to multiple vehicle break-ins that were reported between May 16th and July 14th in the Troutman and Mooresville areas. Officials say most of the vehicles were unlocked and multiple items were stolen.

Detectives say they tracked a stolen credit card from the break-ins that was being used at a Charlotte area gas station. Surveillance from the card’s use and home surveillance captured by neighbors where the break-ins occurred helped deputies identify Gregory as the suspect.

Gregory has been charged with 56 counts of Breaking and Entering to a Motor Vehicle, 20 counts of Misdemeanor Larceny, five counts of Larceny of a Firearm, one count of Larceny of a Motor Vehicle, and one count Felony Larceny. He is being held under a $200,000 secured bond.
