ROCK HILL, SC — Troopers say one person is dead after a single car accident on I-77 Tuesday afternoon.
The accident just before 5pm happened on I-77 north near mile marker 79. According to officials, the driver of a 1999 Buick hit the guard rail, went down an embankment, and hit a tree.
Troopers say the victim was wearing a seat belt, but have not yet said what may have caused the accident.
The victim’s name has not been released.
