CHESTERFIELD, NC — A toddler that was removed from a home Monday and placed in protective custody has tested positive for methamphetamine.
Deputies say Brittany Griggs, 27, and William Bryant, 31, were arrested at their home on S. Main Street and charged with unlawful conduct towards a child and possession of methamphetamine. A 2-year-old child living in the home was also removed and placed into protective custody.
During an investigation by the Department of Social Services, officials say the toddler tested positive for meth.
Griggs and Bryant were booked at the Chesterfield County Detention Center.
