CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A decision on funding for a stadium to attract a major league soccer stadium is happening today.
Mecklenburg County commissioners will vote tonight.
They originally said they’d chip in nearly $44 million for the proposed $175 million stadium.
However, now they’re talking about only putting up $30 million, which the city has also said it’ll spend.
Critics say maintaining parks, green-ways, and recreation centers is more important.
