Carolina Insight: PGA Championship
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The PGA Championship is the final Major of 2017 and is arguably the biggest event in Charlotte this year.
The Queen City will be showcased on the World stage during the event for everyone to see, and in today’s Carolina Insight, we see the 2 years of work that went into getting the course ready for the big tournament.
The tournament is expected to average 50,000 people a day, roughly the equivalent of an N-F-L game per day, and the merchandise tent is 45,000 square feet. Which is like dropping a mid-sized department store in the middle of Quail Hollow.
We will have complete coverage of the tournament right here on Rising, as well as WCCB News at ten, WCCB Got Game and of course, www.wccbcharlotte.com.
