According to officials, the event brought in 3700 riders from 48 countries, was attended by more than 19,400 people, and brought in an estimated $19.2 million in direct economic impact. The cumulative attendance for the week from multi-day admissions is estimated at 50,000-55,000.
The city originally estimated around 3300 riders from 40 countries, 20,000 cumulative attendance, and roughly $13 million direct economic impact.
Officials say a webcast of the weeks events, which included challenge races from July 25-28, also broke viewership records with more than 513,000 views as of July 30, making then the highest viewed challenge class races in BMX World Championship history.
