HICKORY, N.C. — Police have arrested the man wanted for Saturday’s murder in Hickory, North Carolina.
On August 20th, 2017, Manuel Villarreal Jr., 30, was apprehended in Morganton, North Carolina and charged with the murder of 37-year-old Roberto Beltran.
On August 19th, 2017, Hickory Police responded to reports of a person being shot at a residence located at 1752 16th Street NE.
The arriving officers found Beltran suffering from gunshot wounds. Beltran died at the scene as a result of his injuries.
Villarreal is currently being held without bond in the Catawba County Detention Facility.
The case is still under investigation and more information will be released as it develops.
