Charlotte Mayoral Candidates Tackle LGBTQ Issues

CHARLOTTE, NC — Candidates for Mayor of Charlotte and at-large City Council were grilled about issues important to the LGBTQ community Monday evening.

The annual candidates’ forum took place at the Charlotte Marriott City Center in Uptown. Four of the Democratic candidates for mayor were there, along with five of the at-large city council candidates.

Primary elections will be held in September to determine the nominees for each party. The general election will be held November 7th.
