CHARLOTTE, NC — The Charlotte Pride Festival will be held from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, August 26 and from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 27. Event organizers expect 125,000 attendees.
Street closures are as follows:
Friday, August 25, 9:30 a.m.:
- Tryon Street from Levine Avenue of the Arts to Trade Street
- All cross streets will remain open
Saturday, August 26, 6 a.m.:
- Tryon Street between Stonewall and Trade Street
- All cross streets will close – Levine Avenue of the Arts, Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, 3rd and 4th Streets
Sunday, August 27, 10:30 p.m.: Streets will reopen.
The Charlotte Pride Parade will begin Sunday, August 27 at 1 p.m. at 9th Street and Tryon Street. The parade turns east on Trade Street and disperses on College Street. Staging for the parade will close Tryon Street between 9th and 11th Streets and the cross streets between Church Street and College Street at 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.
