LINCOLNTON, N.C. — One person is dead after an argument between roommates leads to a deadly shooting in Lincoln County Friday night.
Deputies were called to a residence at 1311 Wildale Lane in Lincolnton at about 11:00 p.m. Friday night.

Ronald Wayne Vaughn, 25, was arrested and charged with one count of First Degree Murder and one count of Possession of a Weapon of Mass Destruction, for shooting his roommate, 27-year-old, Gary Lee Somerset.
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office says Vaughn shot Somerset in the chest and neck at close range with a sawed off shotgun.
Three people witnessed the shooting and Vaughn confessed to the shooting.
