No Injuries Following SWAT Situation At East Charlotte Motel

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police say no one was injured after an armed robbery turned into a SWAT situation in east Charlotte.

The robbery took place in the 6400 block of Four Winds Drive just before 7 p.m. on Saturday night. The victims said the suspect robbed them at gunpoint before fleeing in a vehicle.

The suspect vehicle was discovered at he InTown Suites located in the 7100 block of Albemarle Road.

Motel guests were relocated as a precaution as SWAT Team members set up a perimeter and attempted to contact the suspect.

The suspect was identified as 48-year-old David Terry Jamison. He was located and taken into custody without incident.

Jamison is charged with Possession of a Firearm by Felon, Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Breaking and or Entering.
