Harvey’s Impact Could Be Felt At The Pump By Labor Day

CHARLOTTE, NC — You may be feeling the impact of Hurricane Harvey at the gas pumps by Labor Day.

An analyst with Gas Buddy spoke with WCCB Charlotte Monday and said the market prices have already risen by 15 cents a gallon. That could increase another 10 cents in the next week.

16% of the country’s refineries are now unable to operate because of the storm, and may take weeks to resume production.
