CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Houston is sinking further underwater
Some Neighborhoods could see nearly 5 feet of rain by mid-week, before tropical storm Harvey moves to Louisiana.
The National Weather Service says more than 2 feet of rain dumped on Houston on Sunday alone. At least 5 people have died in the historic flooding.
Right now, hundreds are still trapped.
This morning, two North Carolina water rescue teams are headed to Texas to help storm victims.
Governor Roy Cooper is also sending two helicopters, eight national guard airmen, and six rescue technicians to San Antonio.
Three of the crew members are from the Charlotte Fire Department.
For now, Governor Cooper has asked the crew to stay in Texas for at least 10 days.
