NC Officials Hold News Conference On Hurricane Irma

Governor Roy Cooper held a news conference Wednesday evening as officials prepare for possible impacts by Hurricane Irma.

Cooper said a state of emergency will be effective Thursday at 8am for North Carolina. Officials are closely monitoring the storm and will provide more updates as new information comes available.

Cooper stressed for residents to be prepared and to have a plan.
