Cam Newton Starts In The Panthers Regular Season Opener

CHARLOTTE, NC — Despite limited throwing in the preseason, Cam Newton started for the Panthers in a 23-10 victory over the San Francisco 49ers to start the regular season.

Newton missed 10 out of his first 15 throws, but found his rhythm later in the game. Coach Rivera said Cam was a little rusty, but saw a lot of good things. The coach says his timing isn’t exactly where it needs to be.

The EDGE panel is weighing in on Newton’s regular season debut and asking how you thought number one looked opening night.
