Catawba County Robbery Suspect Arrested
HICKORY, NC — Deputies have arrested and charged a man accused of robbing Ronald’s Superette at gunpoint Monday afternoon.
The robbery happened around 2pm at the store on Highland Avenue NE. Officials say Dylan Gremore entered the store, pointed a gun at the clerk, and demanded money. Gremore was identified from a surveillance photo posted to the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page.
Around 8:45pm, Hickory Police told deputies they had been on a chase with Gremore, who was driving a white Nissan Maxima, but he managed to escape on foot after crashing the vehicle.
Law enforcement found Gremore again around 10:30pm at an apartment on 20th Avenue Drive NE and took him into custody.
Gremore is charged with Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Larceny of a Motor Vehicle, and Possession of a Stolen Vehicle.
