CHARLOTTE, NC — One person was hospitalized after an American Airlines flight collided with a tug while taxiing to the gate Wednesday afternoon.
Officials say flight 5233 was arriving from Charleston, WV around 3:40pm when the accident occurred. Rescuers responded immediately to the scene and the tug driver was transported in stable condition.
Flights on the north side of terminal E will be unable to move, according to officials, until the investigation is complete. Passengers are advised to expect residual delays for regional flights departing and arriving at CLT.
