CHARLOTTE, NC — As the country continues hurricane cleanup, people in Charlotte are coming together to help those hit hardest by Hurricane Harvey.

Mecklenburg County Sheriff Irwin Carmichael announced Thursday at the Bed For Kids Warehouse that three trucks full of supplies are headed to Houston. Volunteers filled two of those trucks with food and water for families, while the other has more than 2,000 pounds of livestock feed inside.

The trucks will leave Friday night for Houston where the supplies will go directly to Hurricane Harvey victims.
