Police Arrest Two Suspects Accused Of Multiple Armed Robberies At Charlotte Businesses

CHARLOTTE, NC — Police arrested two suspects after an armed robbery at a Monroe Road Circle K early Thursday morning.

Police say the call came in around 2:30am. According to reports, the suspects came in and tried to rob the store but were unsuccessful and took off. The clerk gave officers a description of the suspects and their vehicle.

A short time later, officers say they spotted the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop. The suspects took off, and then later tried to run on foot on Woodscape Drive.

Police arrested two of the suspects, but were unable to find the third.

Davilyn McCollum, 23, and Rashaan Bauer, 22, were both arrested and charged with three counts of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and three counts of Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.

Bauer was also charged with an additional count of Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, plus Attempted Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon. McCollum was also charged with Operate a Motor Vehicle while Eluding Law Enforcement

Officials say both suspects were also responsible for armed robberies at the Circle K on N. Graham Street, an OT Foods on Tuckaseegee Road, and a 7-Eleven on Mallard Creek Road.

The investigation is ongoing.
