Billy Graham Rapid Response Team Sends Chaplains to Texas, Florida
CHARLOTTE, NC — As Hurricane Jose builds off the coast, local teams are helping Irma and Harvey victims get back on their feet.
The Billy Graham Rapid Response team has more than 150 chaplains deployed in Texas. So far, they’ve helped more than 9,000 Harvey victims.
In Florida, the team has six sites open in the areas Irma hit hardest.
“Many people were already suffering before the storm,” said “So we know the importance of coming alongside someone, having a ministry and presence, and just hearing them, meeting them right where they’re at.”
The Rapid Response Team tells WCCB Charlotte their chaplains are prepared to stay in Florida and Texas as long as they are needed.
