CMPD Responds To CRB’s Policy-Related Recommendations In Keith Scott Case

CHARLOTTE, NC — On Friday, CMPD Chief Kerr Putney spoke on the policy-related recommendations given by the Citizens Review Board (CRB) in relation to the Keith Scott case.

The recommendations were given to the department following an evidentiary hearing concerning the appeal filed by Scott’s family. CMPD says several of the recommendations referenced in the report are specific to personnel and cannot be legally released to the public, but other portions are related to department policy and should be released.
